Unified Bouldering Comp=Awesome Sharma Video

The competition at Earth Treks on Saturday was nothing short of awe-inspiring. It was an well planned event. The guys at Ne2c Productions spared no expense on the technical end of the show and it payed off.  We got tons of footage and are in the midst of compiling. Here’s a little sneak peak.

Earth Treks Roc Comp with EasternClimber, Part 1

. Tomorrow, we’re going to road trip it down to Maryland to bring you what you can’t get from a live web broadcast of the entire competition: Not sitting in front of your computer all day when it’s supposed to be really nice on Saturday in the Northeast. So, if you can’t make it to [...]

Rumney, Even When it Rains

Rumney, Even When it Rains

Despite the crappy New England weather, I decided to make a day trip to Rumney last Sunday.  It’s funny how many climbers living in the northeast refuse to go out on rainy days, despite the plethora of amazing, overhung (read: eternally-dry) climbs that exist in the area.  In fact, I’d be more apt to stay [...]

Sends and Sunsets in the Northeast

Sends and Sunsets in the Northeast

Last weekend, we went for some bouldering in the ‘Gunks to check out some new-last-season stuff.  These guys put up a lot of the new lines, after some locals spotted the boulders in the “new” sector.  This season, we’re all crapping our pants over how awesome it is. After getting warm on the $1000 Schwapple [...]

Nine Cornered Lake!

The first problem was an onsight. Thus my long, slow, ‘tard-like top out. Things were literally crumbling as I was pulling over the lip. A few weekends ago I was at beautiful Nine Cornered Lake. Its probably one of the most aesthetic places to climb I’ve ever been to. Right next to the main bouldering [...]

Chris Sharma, Paul Robinson, Jason Kehl, Emily Harrington and More

You can compete with all these bad asses at the upcoming Earth Treks comp on April 23rd and 24th! Imagine yourself on a beautiful plastic line right at your limit when suddenly, Chris Sharma dynos over your entire body!  But you keep climbing anyway. He traverses to the right on the black taped problem. Your [...]

I feel like I’m climbing in circles

Well…the rain came back. Just as I was falling back in love with my favorite bouldering areas. It’s o.k. because I have a back-up spot. An all weather roof of gneiss! Thats right. It’s pretty damn awesome. Shown in the video is me, making a loop out of Chimney Left and Chimney Right.

Real rock feels good…

I spent the last couple days reacquainting myself with the great outdoors. Day 1 was Ice Pond and it was ridonkulously beautiful and sunny. My body was confused because I was climbing outside, but I wasn’t wearing 90 layers. I made a quick little video of a couple of random boulders I came across.  As [...]
