I will do my best to share the latest beta on the scene in the epicenter of New England climbing, and the experiences of myself and my friends.

It seems that sadly, the fall climbing season will soon be drawing to a close, as the weather has been keeping me away from my favorite spots, but don’t dispair – a whole season of ABS intensity is well underway!  There’s just 4 days left before Central Rock Gym’s Halloween climbing comp is here, and I’ve been working the skin off my hands with the inflated hopes of on-sighting a V6.  In any case, the costumes should be hilarious, and the setting second-to-none.  If you’re in the Central Mass area, there will not be a better place to be for some intense climbing. It’s the gym’s first ABS comp since its opening earlier this year, and they’re out to prove they can put on a show: ABS youth, ABS adult, speed comp, dyno comp, and maybe the costumes will be judged. Plus there’s rumors of a DJ on the bouldering top-out…

I’ll be a very tired Chris Knight after the event.  Anyone know where I can find a two-toned sport coat?
